Intent2heal is announcing a new Christian-based virtual life coaching service, designed to offer support to people who feel isolated due to corona virus restrictions, marginalized due to current racial tensions, or otherwise in need of emotional support.
Co-founder Sabrina Greene says Intent2heal specializes in spiritual wealth and relationship coaching. “Too often, people are overlooked and underbooked when it comes to mental health appointments,” she says, “Our mission is to meet people where they are, be an ear to listen, a shoulder to cry on, and a kick in the behind when needed!”
The entire point is to inspire intentional healing, founded on Biblical principles. “We put the power of choice in people’s hands so they move down the path of mental wellness.” Individual and group sessions are available.
Greene and the other coach, Aysha Barber, are Navy veterans offering a combined 10 years of mental health experience. They launched the organization after seeing people’s needs both in and out of uniform. They were both working as behavioral health technicians in mental health wards where people were participating in cognitive behavioral therapy. Then they noticed that some patients would return after a period of time and say they hadn’t accomplished what they wanted.
Intent2heal is designed to work in tandem with psychiatrists, psychologists, and therapists. “We don’t do the counseling,” Greene says, “People go to their doctor and say they want to change their behaviors. We hold them accountable to their homework and things they say they want to do.”
Green and Barber also offer a podcast, “Fails To Wins,” which focuses on facing our mistakes head-on, as mothers, friends, wives, etc., and what we did to transform failures into achievements.
