Established in 1993 by current CEO Béatrice de Veyrac, Arjuna’s role is to support companies and organizations in the prevention and control of crisis situations. Arjuna’s team concentrates on two major aspects of crisis work:
- Creating crisis procedures, and training client teams to work together efficiently in implementing them to manage crises successfully; and
- Helping clients to manage crises and “alerts” (problems which, if managed badly, could escalate into crises), as they happen.
The team has experience across a full range of emergencies, from disasters (such as fires, IT systems failures and pollution) through consumer problems (e.g. product recalls) to legal and social issues (including lawsuits, conflicts and strikes).
Arjuna is proud of the long-term relationships it enjoys with its clients, some of which have been with Arjuna for 15 years. They operate in industries (from food and drink to energy, health, chemistry, infrastructure, etc.), service (bank, water distribution, etc.) and work for several major worldwide French companies.
Béatrice de Veyrac, CEO, and Thierry Koenig, Partner, commented, “We are very happy to join IPREX and convinced that both we and our new IPREX partners will be able to give a wider service to clients.”
“We delighted to welcome Béatrice, Thierry and their team to IPREX,” said IPREX EMEA President Michael Schröder (ORCA Affairs, Berlin). "They work in a field that IPREX partners take seriously - Kogan Page published our well-received book Crisis Communication: Practical PR Strategies for Reputation Management & Company Survival in 2008.
“It is important to our clients that we offer them access to highly experienced communication specialists around the world and Arjuna have already worked successfully with two IPREX partners. We look forward to helping their clients wherever they need our services and to adding further breadth and depth to our best practices knowledge in the field.”
IPREX is a $200 million network of communication agencies, with more than 1,500 staff and over 100 offices worldwide working across the spectrum of industry sectors and practice disciplines.
