Use of outdated farming technologies coupled with the frequent attack of pests and diseases while depending only on rain for water for crops greatly affects 93% of farmers in Africa. By providing affordable greenhouses and drip kits equipped with solar-powered sensors that automate irrigation, we are able to protect crops while increasing yield by data analysis through the wireless sensors, enabling the internet of things to penetrate and reach the base of pyramid farmers.
Often, medical supplies in urban centers are unable to reach rural patients in a timely, cost effective way due to poor road infrastructure. During times of emergency this is often fatal. Using a smart aerial logistics technology, Arone provides cheap and reliable delivery of blood and medical supplies, bridging the gap between urban clinics and rural patients in under 15 minutes.

Despite a number of off-grid connections in East Africa alone over the past six years, rural electrification has been slow due to challenges of remote monitoring. Monicont is bringing the benefits of clean energy to off-grid customers with its PAYG smart metering technology for solar microgrid systems.
Access to locally sourced nutrient rich food is a global problem. Climate change and conflict induced displacement paired with a growing population is leading to an untenable disparity in global food equity. The Dunya Project is helping empower change and ensure food equity globally. Our solution is to provide modular hydroponic habitats that are scalable, easy-to-assemble, self-contained, climate-controlled with a connected mode of farming.
