ASCC: Upstarts’ Craftsmanship Cuts into Big Vodka Brands’ Market Share

A quiet revolution is happening in the vodka industry. As Bloomberg Business reported last week, American millennials are fleeing to smaller, craft brands, and the world’s largest vodka producers—Diageo Plc and Pernod Ricard SA—are struggling to retain market share.

Their loss is the Aristocrat Group Corp.’s (OTCQB: ASCC) potential gain. In an emerging vodka market dominated by younger consumers focused on local distillation and provenance, the company’s premiere distilled spirits product is just the sort of upstart brand that is turning the vodka industry upside down.

“Increasingly, we’re seeing consumers turn to newer, better vodkas that confer an elusive ‘cool factor,’” said ASCC President Chris Less. “That’s a primary reason we’ve been so successful growing our Ultra-Premium Handcrafted RWB Vodka brand.”

With utmost value placed on flavor and craftsmanship, RWB Vodka is made in the U.S.A. from Idaho russet potatoes and Rocky Mountain spring water using a unique four-column distillation process. The homegrown vodka brand has received high marks for quality both at home and abroad, earning well more than a dozen gold medals in international blind taste tests. It is perhaps the only American-made vodka labeled “gluten-free.”

“Vodka is still the largest global spirits category,” Mr. Less said. “With RWB Vodka, we feel our company is poised to repeat the success of surging upstart brands like Tito’s Handmade Vodka and New Amsterdam Vodka.”

By appealing to consumers’ changing tastes, ASCC hopes to become the next upstart spirits company to carve out a market share as demand heats up. The company is working to build a diversified portfolio of brands in order to cash in on the growth of the distilled spirits industry.
