Quark today announced that Graham Freeman, a former senior vice president at Adobe Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADBE), has joined the company as senior vice president of sales for Latin America and Asia.
Freeman brings to Quark nearly three decades of experience in technology sales, marketing and business development, including over 15 years in executive leadership roles. A member of the Quark leadership team reporting to Quark president and CEO Ray Schiavone, Freeman will be responsible for leading Quark’s expansion in these emerging markets and helping to drive Quark’s overall global sales strategy.
Freeman’s experience in publishing technology includes 10 years in management and executive roles with Adobe Systems Incorporated. As senior vice president and corporate officer, Freeman led the realignment of Adobe’s worldwide sales organization, which included a shift to a more centralized structure and implementation of Adobe’s enterprise sales strategy. In addition, as vice president and general manager, Freeman headed the company’s efforts to establish Asia/Pacific and Latin American territories. During his tenure, Adobe achieved record revenues in 1999 and 2000.
Freeman has also led efforts to build channel sales operations for companies including Arbortext, for whom he established a leading presence in the Asia/Pacific and Latin American territories.
Freeman previously held several marketing and sales management and director roles for Compaq Australia and IBM Australia. He earned his bachelor of commerce in marketing and business from the University of New South Wales in Australia. Freeman is based in Silicon Valley, California.
“Graham brings the business, market, and leadership skills to help Quark extend the reach of our industry-leading technology to new and existing customers in these two key regions,” said Schiavone. “Working closely with these customers, Graham will help us to further refine our products so that we can consistently deliver what our customers need as we expand in new geographies.”
