In June 2010, the Texas Emerging Technology Fund (ETF) awarded n3D the Pre-Seed Commercialization Award of $250,000 for development of its device to magnetically levitate cells, enabling three-dimensional tissue growth using a proprietary combination of nanoparticle-based reagents. The company is eligible to receive a total of $1 million through the Texas ETF.

In September 2010, n3D received an inaugural Goradia Innovation Prize at the Gulf Coast Innovation Conference & Showcase . As a result, the Houston Technology Center awarded n3D $10,000. The selection of awardees was based on the commercial potential of the innovation, the soundness of the business plan, the potential for job growth within the region and the likelihood of significant long-term success.

n3D continues to be well received in the medical research and pharmaceutical community, with existing customers at MD Anderson Cancer Center, Methodist Hospital, Baylor College of Medicine and the UT Health Science Center.
