Crown Royal Gives Dallas-Area Adult Race Fan a Regal Experience at Texas Motor Speedway on April 15

FORT WORTH, Tx., April 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Nearly 200,000 race fans are expected to attend Sunday's NASCAR Nextel Cup Series (NNCS) Samsung 500 at Texas Motors Speedway (TMS), but Dallas-area resident Chad Provo's name will certainly stand out amongst everyone in attendance.

Provo, of Terrell, Texas, was recently selected at random for the grand prize of Crown Royal Championship Racing's "Your Name Here" Texas sweepstakes, which gave Provo the opportunity to have his name featured on the paint scheme of the No. 26 Crown Royal Ford Fusion driven by Jamie McMurray during Sunday's race.

The 35-year-old home mortgage professional received his first look at the paint scheme during a car unveiling on Friday, which also included former Dallas Cowboys great Daryl 'Moose' Johnston who is serving as a Crown Royal Championship Racing ambassador for the race weekend.

In addition to having his name prominently displayed on McMurray's No. 26 hood, Provo will attend the Cup race with his wife Cory, participate in a meet-and-greet with McMurray and Johnston, partake in a full garage tour, and receive additional VIP treatment.

"The Crown Royal 'Your Name Here' consumer program was designed to offer Texas adult residents a truly unique experience, and we're going to make sure Chad Provo feels like a king for the day," said Jim Lorenz, senior brand manager, Crown Royal. "Texas has been one of Crown Royal's biggest markets for some time, which is why we wanted to reward one lucky fan with a 'Texas-sized' prize. Now, Provo's name will certainly stand out amongst the hundreds of thousands of fans at TMS and the many millions watching at home on television."

On February 1, 2007, Crown Royal launched its "Your Name Here" consumer program to Texas residents, with Provo being one of thousands who entered online at .

"A chance to go to the race (at Texas Motor Speedway) is unbelievable," said Provo. "The way Crown Royal has arranged the weekend, it will certainly be a once-in-a-lifetime experience."

This announcement comes on the heels of Crown Royal's landmark "Your Name Here 400" national promotion that recently awarded naming rights to the spring NNCS race at Richmond International Raceway to Jim Stewart of Houma, LA. Stewart, 34, was randomly selected from nine finalists in a ceremony at Daytona International Speedway on February 16, marking the first time in history that a major sporting event will be named after a fan. The race will be held under the lights on May 5 and will be called the "Crown Royal presents the Jim Stewart 400." As part of the contest and to promote its "Be a Champion. Drink Responsibly." campaign, for every contest submission Crown Royal made a donation to Recording Artists Athletes and Actors Against Drunk Driving (RADD).

For the second consecutive year, Crown Royal is the primary sponsor of the No. 26 Roush Fenway Racing Ford Fusion team driven by Jamie McMurray. This includes primary paint scheme of the No. 26 car at 24 races during the 2007 season. The Joplin, MO, native has posted one top-five and three top-10 finishes in six starts at the Fort Worth race track.

Additionally, the Crown Royal Special Reserve brand is presenting sponsor of the Grand American Rolex Sports Car Series and primary sponsor of Cheever Racing's No. 39 Porsche driven by Christian Fittipaldi and Harrison Brix. Crown Royal will also serve as title sponsor in 2007 of the Crown Royal 200 at Watkins Glen, N.Y., on August 9-10.
